Source notes: CRPF (Head Constable Ministerial) Typing Test Online

Documents and practice limits

Checked 2026-09-21 against the CRPF ASI (Steno) and HC (Ministerial) 2022 advertisement, para 13.3: typing on computer at 35 words per minute in English or 30 in Hindi (10,500 or 9,000 key depressions per hour), qualifying with no marks, Hindi only on Remington GAIL key layout with the Mangal font, every error counted as a mistake, 5% of the words typed allowed, and 10 words deducted for each mistake beyond that. The advertisement doesn't state the HC(M) typing duration or editing-key behaviour; the 10-minute timer and current-word correction are this site's settings. Other CAPFs recruit separately and can use different rules.
