Checked 2026-09-16 against the SSC CGL 2026 notice. Section 13.9.10.2 sets a passage of about 2,000 key depressions over 15 minutes and says the Commission's Regional Offices issue the detailed skill-test instructions. Section 13.9.10.3 makes DEST mandatory for all posts but qualifying in nature. Section 13.9.10.4 sets higher standards, which it does not publish, for Tax Assistant in CBIC and CBDT, UDC and SSA in the Central Bureau of Narcotics, and the Computer Proficiency posts at 13.9.9. Section 16.2 sets the maximum percentage of errors allowed at 20% for UR, 25% for OBC and EWS and 30% for all other categories. Those are easy to confuse with section 16.1, which sets minimum qualifying marks for the written sections at 30%, 25% and 20% and runs the other way round. The 8,000 key depressions an hour shown in the practice result is arithmetic from 2,000 depressions in 15 minutes, not a rate the notice states.
